Hi everyone, it’s Trip with Kim!
If you’re visiting Florence, trying authentic Italian gelato is a must! During my Italy trip, I had gelato in Rome, Florence, and Venice, and I can confidently say that Venchi is one of the best gelato shops in Florence.
Venchi is a famous Italian gelato and chocolate brand with locations across the country. I originally tried it in Rome at Termini Station, but when I was in Florence, I couldn’t resist stopping by their Piazza della Signoria location. Let’s dive into my experience!
📍 Address: Via Calimaruzza, 18, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy
🕒 Opening Hours: 9:30 AM – 12:00 AM
⭐ Google Rating: 4.7 (6,664 reviews)
🚶 Location: Near Piazza della Signoria
Venchi has multiple locations in Italy, but in Florence, the best one is right next to Piazza della Signoria. It’s easy to find, and you’ll often see a long line of people waiting for gelato.
Even though there’s usually a line, it moves quickly—I only waited 5 minutes before ordering.
Venchi isn’t just a gelato shop—it’s also famous for high-quality chocolates and desserts. Inside, you’ll find:
🍫 Handmade chocolates (perfect for gifts)
🍦 Premium gelato with natural ingredients
🍪 Chocolate-covered cones & waffle cups
🥤 Milkshakes & Crepes
Here’s a look at Venchi’s gelato prices:
Gelato Size | Price |
---|---|
🍦 2 flavors | €3.70 |
🍦 3 flavors | €4.60 |
🍦 4 flavors | €5.90 |
💡 Tip: If you’re traveling with a friend, I recommend ordering a 4-flavor cup to try more flavors without spending extra.
Venchi offers a huge variety of flavors, from classic fruit-based options to rich, creamy flavors. Their best flavors include:
✅ Pistachio (a must-try!)
✅ Strawberry (fresh & sweet)
✅ Mango (refreshing)
✅ Cappuccino (rich coffee taste)
✅ Hazelnut Chocolate (for Nutella lovers)
I ordered a 2-flavor cup with pistachio & strawberry, and it was incredible. The pistachio flavor was extra creamy with a deep, nutty taste, while the strawberry added a fresh, fruity balance.
Even though Venchi is a chain gelato shop, the quality is outstanding. Unlike many gelato places that pile up artificial-looking flavors, Venchi’s gelato is rich, creamy, and all-natural.
What I Loved About Venchi Gelato
✔ Smooth, creamy texture
✔ Rich and natural flavors
✔ Great variety of gelato & chocolates
✔ Fast service despite the long lines
One downside is that there’s limited seating inside. Most people eat their gelato outside on the streets, so be prepared to stand while enjoying your dessert.
✔ Venchi’s pistachio flavor is a must-try!
✔ Since seating is limited, expect to eat outside.
✔ Italian gelato melts fast—order a cup instead of a cone!
If you’re in Florence and looking for the best gelato, Venchi is an excellent choice. It’s affordable, high-quality, and conveniently located near top attractions like Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo.
Would I go back? 100% yes!
